Pacific Has Found his Forever Home!

Pennye JN·Jun 30, 2023· 2 minutes

Pacific came into the shelter with a bone stuck at the top of his stomach, and his family did not have the funds to have it removed, so the Humane Rescue Alliance stepped in and gave him the medical care he desperately needed! Then we took him as our medical foster and began his recovery process both physically and behaviorally. We think he is an American Bull Terrier due to his long legs and winning personality. What a gem!

Now he is ready to find his new forever home and we have learned a lot from his stay with us during his recovery. Here are all the great things we can tell you!

He is good with cats, and came from a home with kids. He ignores most of the dogs he sees and meets, but if he indicates he likes another pup it tends to be an older, calm dog which he is curious about. He does not like a lot of barking, and prefers his people over all others. He is very playful and his favorite treats during the day are stuffed marrow bones and treat balls to keep him busy.

He is still a young adult. we think a little over a year, and does best with nice long walks during the day and / or evening. He LOVES the water and although we have not had him swimming he thinks playing in the water is the BEST!

Once the time for bed comes he curls up and sleeps until you are ready to get up in the morning. We are working on crate training and he often will get into an open crate for play and sleep.

In our opinion, he would not do well going to dog parks and doggy daycare, but loved other types of exercise. He is quite reticent about other dogs and really only wants his people.

It has happened ..... Julie has gotten quite enamored and he is going to become a permanent resident in our home. He is so good and still in training, that we feel confident about fostering other pups with him, as they look to get their chance at finding that new place to call home.
